There is no link between Saddam and Al Qaida other than the fact a few Al Qaida members visited Iraq (and every other country in the region) once in awhile over the last decade. All of the original claims of the Bushies about this have been disproven, like the Atta Prague meeting and the wild BS stories of the Chalabi dissidents.

The bi-partisan 9-11 commission concluded there is no link, but Bush and Cheney must keep on pretending there was (including fabricating shoffy evidence) otherwise they lose the last remaining wild-assed excuse for invading Iraq in the first place.

The Bush propaganda machine worked very hard to fuse Saddam and Osama together. It was a big lie perpetrated on the American People. Guess what, the two hated each other and were enemies. After all Saddam had persecuted Islamic radicals for decades. Osama hgad called for the overthrow of Saddam and all secular Arab governments. Osama did not like the relative liberal values of Saddam (using women as sex objects and giving them rights, for instance). No, no connection that I have ever seen or that the 9-11 commission can surmise.

Lesson being: never believe Bush-Cheney anymore. They do lie.
