Further East, in the ranch areas, it's the cowboy boots and trucks that tip you off to the republicans-

Ya got me. I'm a combo there. Boots, jeans, trucks, guns and convertibles.

But, I'm as middle of the road as you can get.

I respect the Constitution, say the pledge, pray, go to Church, understand the difference between a Right and Privelege. I listen to the other side before making a decision because I realize that I do not know more than my viewpoint until I ask someone else for theirs. I think "Under God" is a great place to be and I am damn proud my current President agrees with that, even though some of the challengers need to qualify that. I am certain that the USA needs to watch out for ourselves, which means the first yahoo that talks of letting our folks in service to this country answer to an internatioanl tribunal needs to be sent packing. I am quite certain Hollywood, and the people involved therein, have started thinking the people they play on screen are actual people and those wacked opinions expressed are actually valid. I am equally certain that these people are delusional and full of themselves. Further yet is to believe that they need to get off the silver screen and look in the mirror and see if they like what they see.

(As an aside, Madonna is on record that she will not let her own children see her past works, but your children SHOULD see this stuff)

I think Liberals talk a whole lot about social ills, but don't do a thing about it (it is the gov'ts job you know) and I think Conservatives shoulder a lot of load they never discuss. I find that Christians are generally an amazing group of people who help without asking for much in return.

I find that most people are really, really good people. Everyone, deep down, wants to help one another and, given the opportunity, they do help. I think humans have found the reason to live and the meaning of life and that is serve others and make sure that a minimum standard of life is obtained and enjoyed by all. You don't believe me, go to a Habitat for Humanity Blitz Build. It will restore your belief in God and in humanity. The law of the jungle cannot apply when so many gather together to help, relatively, so few.

So as a middle of the road person, I cannot understand how Senator John Kerry can be offered as an honest candidate for President of the United States.

I am willing to listen to those who may convince me, but none who have posted here are honest about why. They are of the "Bush must go" school, and that is not a reason.
