The greatest challenge the U.S. faces economically right now is the belief that the world is a zero sum game, meaning if China or any other country wins, then the U.S. loses.

What is this 1991 with Lester Thurow? We proved the zero sum game incorrect in the 90s. Why have people forgotten so soon?

As for IBM, they gave their business away to wintel, I know you know what I am getting at and wintel is now the most valuable technology duopoly despite the fact that IBM broke the business. You can't "outsource" your entire industry and expect to remain dominant. The only chance these US companies have that are outsourcing everything including the kitchen sink to Asia is if the corruption in Asia makes the corporations there that are emerging on the back of the US's outsourced business culture appear less viable. Huiwei for example.
