the thing about the ebay and google options plans, that skews the numbers a little, is that these web shops don't have the same number of employees as the big stars of the last decade- Dell Cisco etc. who were basically manufacturing companies. Last I looked ebay had about 2500 worldwide employees. I am working with a small company in the communications space with 300mm revenue that has 1200 employees already, and they aren't profitable. You just need more people to get a manufacturing product out the door.
