this particular retort is starting to get hysterical.... ....Perhaps you are French then,.... Mainstream America went along when the rightwing nutcases declared emotional war on france and renamed french fries to freedom fries. Stupid but not worth fighting over, you know? Nobody I know really loves the french people, but otoh its a bit silly to carry on like this. The french government is NOT the most antagonistic govt out there towards the US.
