I'm not sure I count myself as "left", more like a moderate with liberal leanings. But I basically agree with you. Even Michael Moore says he didn't vote in the last 2 elections, and that he's disgusted with the Democrats and how weak they are. My take on this is that the Democrats, being the lesser of two evils, just will never go as far as the Republicans in doing whatever is necessary by any means legal or illegal...I agree with techguerilla/John, I'm not that sanguine about our prospects in the next election. The country is very divided, its evenly split as the closeness of the last election showed, but I fear that Bush will edge out Kerry. Especially if the economy's #'s continue to look decent. But I'm hopeful this will not be the case, and I do think Democrats have a fighting chance. Let's see if Kerry starts making some news after he's formally nominated. Right now he's not doing much at all. I worry that he's just not outspoken enough.
