Allen -- thanks for that reference -- I'm aware of the increasing interest in PCM by the major players in the computer memory arena. The flurry of new patent applications, published papers/talks, and actual spec sheets for a product offering are indicative of substantial progress along the learning curve for manufacturing PCM. IMO there is increasing confidence by these particular companies that PCM is the most likely viable alternative to FLASH and other NV memory technologies. Over and above the product introduction by BAE for space applications I expect within the next 12 months some other product offering using PCM in a niche market (probably embedded memory in a CPU or DSP chip) that necessitates, and hence showcases, the performance advantages of PCM over FLASH. Once established in a few markets I expect a process development drive toward vertically stacked and multi-bit PCM product modules that can directly replace FLASH.
