Engaged means you don't walk away like Bush did from Israel, North Korea and Iran, therby leaving situations to worsen and time to waste. Bush's lack of diplomacy, prefering to just carry a "big stick" has cost the US dearly. Now as we can see today we are not even the dominant force in NATO anymore. We are beggars. Kerry can fix all this rather quickly just by being himself. Bush is the worst diplomactic president we have ever had. He should talk to his father instead of this "higher father: of his. His father knew how to work with others.
