The whole point of the NT vs. UNIX argument is not that Sun is going to get hit today, tomorrow or even next quarter. Just that they are up against some very stiff competition in Microsoft. This is definitely something to pay attention to over the coming months and years. The gap between UNIX based servers and Wintel based machines is narrowing, just as the gap between Apple's OS and Microsoft's narrowed with the release of Windows 3.1. Is this a trend or is Sun invicible? I don't claim to know the answer to this, I just think that the competition can't help profit margins.
