Antiwar.com had an article the other day that said the oil revenues were definitely not going to the Iraqis. That the British and U.S. had, surprise suprise, written the new Iraqi government policy in such a crafty way to ensure that the British and U.S. had control over the oil after the power transfer. Those oil revenues are going everywhere but into the pockets of the Iraqis. I can't beleive people are such fools to fall for the propaganda about us being there to build democracy and destroy terrorism. We're there for one reason: OIL! We couldn't give a rats ass about democracy, our dismal record in that regard speaks for itself (Shah of Iran, Guatemala, Brazil, Greece, Chile, etc.). I wouldn't be at all surprised if some other form of dictatorship takes over in Iraq, and the U.S. sits back and lets it happen as long as they're friendly to our oil agenda. As far as terrorism goes, could we devise a better terrorist recruitment program than the way we've conducted ourselves in Iraq?!? I mean, it's pathetic. Al Queda must have no trouble getting new members after the way we've wrecked Iraq and abused their citizens.
