Reminds me of the old story of Clemenceau, the Prime Minister of France in the early part of the 20th century. He was once asked by a reporter if he was upset that his son had become a Communist. He replied,

"My son is 18 years old. If he were not a Communist, I would disown him." He paused, and added, "If he remains a Communist at 30, I will do it then."
