I'm not sure what he promised the Cubans, but I'm guessing it's similar to what he's promising the Latinos.


The Cubaños have little in common with Latinos. Therefore,
he promises different things to each.

You're right about that, and it's one of my major criticisms of Bush, that he's weakening his core constituency in pursuit of these votes.

If you know that, then why are you attacking Kerry on this issue?

As for the "religious right," it's kind of strange to accuse him of trying to "promise" them anything, because it should be obvious that they are part of Bush's core constituency. Unless, of course, you're talking about some of the more activist fringes of the "religious right."

Yes........my only point was is that these groups are fairly disparate, and a promise to one may not sit well with another; and yet he plays the game.
