MJ, The terrorists are trying to have harm come to the business men, but the ones that seem to be getting captured, and beheaded, are underlings in comparison to management personnel.
I don't know about the Iraqis, but the Taliban did kill at least one woman as a public display. That helped to bring the women to the limelight in Afghanistan, but not all muslims are the same. I didn't know the South Korean guy had been there long enough to fall in love, and contemplate marriage. That was not a wise decision on his part considering possible result.
The terrorist are hiding, mainly, among people that know they are terrorists, and do nothing to get rid of them, or aid in their capture, or death. It is like those people are aiding, and abetting, the terrorists, and in such a case, should expect the consequences. It's kind of like, crap or get off the pot. Those that aided the Nazis, in many cases died. IMO that was just punishment for aiding the enemy. We cannot have weak, or bleeding, hearts when it comes to defeating an enemy.
During WW2, which started when I was 5 years old, the media was not allowed to broadcast anything that was detrimental to the war effort. Since the media is now so liberal leaning, they should be shut up, or shut down. That may not sound American, but that's tough crap. We have a war to win. Nothing is fair in war, and if we don't do whatever needs to be done, regardless of the fall out, we shouldn't get involved in war, and let the rest of the world go to hell as they kill each other.
If we are going to play a major part in achieving peace in the world, we should play it to hilt. No holds barred. |
