Cheney failed to colonize Iraq. Now that they have handed over sovereignty to Iraq, I would hope for the insurgency to abate. Next step: jobs and contracts for Iraqi firms and then American firms such as Halliburton etc. I am sure the Arab nations will come together to ensure that jobs are offered to their folks first. If not, then I would expect to see a rise in insurgency again. This is because, IMO the ordinary man on the Iraqi street expects to see real freedom and not the freedom under a foreign occupation.
