well, you did mention your wife. One of my partners used to use a line like that in closing arguments. When you're representing the defendant in civil litigation, you only get to argue once at the close of the case. Because the plaintiff bears the burden of proof, s/he goes first with closing arguments, followed by the defense close and then the plaintiff's final rebuttal. When my partner argued, he'd explain this to the jury by saying that "I don't get the last word at home and I don't get it here." Always drew smiles............ especially 'cause it's true<g>
