Howard Fineman made a pretty clear statement, I believe, about the movie today. Essentially, that there is a lot of stuff in the movie that is true. However, it is provided without historical context. And without that context, it is meaningless.

An example, from the Columbine movie, was where he showed Charleton Heston making incindiary remarks. He says something like, "three weeks after Columbine, Heston is in Denver spewing firey speech, etc.". And it showed Heston making a firey speech. Reality: The clip was from a speech a year later in a different time. Why? Because he needed the most negative portrayal possible.

Same thing happened with the Roger & Me movie. He showed interviews with those who were purportedly homeless as a result of Roger's layoffs. The facts: The people interviewed were NOT employees of GM, were never laid off by GM, and may never have had a job in the first place.

The guy is liar. Finemann also pointed out that he is largely preaching to the converted. It should be fairly harmless.

Those who are influenced are likely to be either liberal to begin with (and thus Bush haters) or youthful, sub-25 year old voters, who are easily swayed due to a lack of experience. Clear thinking individuals will get past it.
