Noel, you cannot possibly be this naive in real life. Why in real life, I bet someone has to lie to your face only two or three times before you stop trusting him.

But when it comes to the Mideast, the level of trust you recommend is infinite - which is what it would take for anybody to trust anything Arafat says, ever. You don't have to ask the Israelis. Ask the Jordanians. Ask the Egyptians. Ask the Lebanese. They'll tell you.
