Rick,
Just got off the phone with e-Schwab. They haven't got a clue what's wrong with their e-mail system. They are running a test. As to the margin account, she talked to the margin department. Seems they just hadn't had time to update it yet. They went ahead and updated it while I was on the phone and increased my buying power by $5,000 to where it was supposed to be. Said that they would automatically readjust the interest for the delay from settlement to posting.

She said not to worry, they had credited the sell to my overall account on the settlement date. It seems it takes a few more days for them to get around to crediting your margin balance. Can you believe that answer? What if you want to make a trade using your margin during that time? Surely, there is a rule on how quickly they must post the proceeds of a sell back to your margin balance?

Not believing what I'm hearing, Cisco.
