Bud; That is a rare school. One MAC for each student?? The Teachers obstrictionism of computers is well know in the industry.Teachers are not stupid, they just have an agenda to expand employment of teachers. Similar to the UAWs attempts to stop automation. Educators see computers as a method to automate some parts of the teaching process, thus saving teachers, and the teachers union objects. It is common knowledge in the education industry. In fact only about 50% of teachers could be replaced by computers as many tasks cannot be well automated in industry or in school. With people there can be no speed up factor, like with machinery going 1000 times as fast as a person, so computers will never replace teachers to the level that workers have been replaced in industry. However computers can help greatly in teaching if permitted to do so.
