China and GSM1X: What’s not to like?????

I thought I read an article posted here a few weeks back which mentioned a $500 price point for GSM1X dual mode phones and an order for 500,000 such phones for the year, although I can't seem to find it on a SI search.

That data did not really excite me as a QCOM shareholder, and if true, it would seem to conflict with this new artcile claiming that CHU will "focus" on GSM1X and that phones will be priced the same as GSM phones (ASP less than $100).

Does anyone recall the article?
