The map showing the totally disintegrated and unviable Palestinian state that Camp David proposed is also a piece of the puzzle which aims at a greater Israel.

That would be the map that the Palestinians began showing off in mid 2001, after they realized how much propaganda damage they had done to themselves. All the Americans and all the Israelis involved in the talks - bar none - agree that the map does NOT represent the offers at Camp David or Taba. It was an Israeli map from much earlier in the negotiations.

As for Malko, of course he is in the 'outsmarter' camp. Anybody who even hints at negotiatons with Arafat, knowing what we know now, is either in the 'outsmarter' camp, or in the 'surrender' camp, or is insane. Because no sane person can now believe that Arafat keeps any part of any deal of his own volition. The only question is, can one keep a big enough club poised just above his head to make him fearful enough to keep some part of the deal in spite of himself?

Sadly, the answer to this is 'no'. It would be possible if Israel had diplomatic cooperation. But not with all of Europe and the entire Arab world (except Jordan, sotto voce) working against it.
