Yes, Kerry will be much more affective and smart than Bush has been on foreign and military/counter-terrorism affairs. He will also not have the enormous personal conflict of interest Bush has with his long-standing financial ties to the Saudis and Bin Lauden family.

There is nothing wrong with Kerry stating he wanted to make sure Saddam was disarmed. As he clearly explained, however, there was always a right way to do it and a wrong way to do it. Going in alone without a post-invasion plan, local allies and UN support was just plain reckless, and Kerry stated thatb from the beginning. Too bad Bush didn't listen huh? Bush either got the wrong advice, intentionally deceived us or is just plain inept. Take your pick.
