I was not trying to be condescending...... I get tired of religious people saying that because I profess to have no religion that that, in itself, is a religion. Yes, I do agree with, it was Mao I think, who said religion is the opiate of the masses. I agree, most people are more comfortable (not necessarily happier) in believing in something spiritual. Many, obviously most, would be hopelessly lost without it. I say fine, if works for you, use it. Is is any wonder to you that the most religious places on earth are the most poorly educated? Do you ever wonder why prosyletizers and evangelists concentrate on the poor and under educated? But far too many religious types smugly suggest atheists (and I am not really an atheist but will accept the label) are evil and doomed to eternity in hell, whatever that is. All most of us ask is that you keep you religion to yourself and don't go around killing people in the name of your god....
