Mike,
I am bringing these comments over to this forum where it belonged in the first place.
I had asked you, on the MICRON forum, which Analysts on CNBC you had some respect for. It was a surprise you mentioned Joe Batataglia (sp) as I was specifically wondering what you thought of him.
I agree with you're comments on Technical Analysis although I believe there may be some small merit to Technical Analysis, but certainly not without VERY GOOD Fundemental Analysis. I have read there have been numerous University studies on coorelations between Technical Analysis and success in the Market. The results being no coorelation.
Previously, I had asked if you knew a company called Isolyser. This company manufactures a unique product called OREX degradables. They have several solid patents on these products. The products are medical supplies such as surgical robes, shoe covers, masks, etc. Once placed in a special washing machine at 190 degrees these products desolve. The effluent has been certified as safe to dispose of in over 100+ municipal water districts.and is cleaner than effluent coming from other parts of the hospital. This product is said to have the potential of disposing of 40% of a hospitals solid waste stream. There are other benefits to the material as well, such as, fire and baterial growth resistance. Right now this product is less than 50% of sales, but they are just getting to the end of their startup phase. Strategy has been to purchase existing companies already in the medical supply business in order to get their foot in the door as the industry is reportedly closed knit. |
