Well, it is dissimilar in at least one way. Should either Bush or Kerry make the kind of blatant misrepresentations Moore has, they would be destroyed by the media over it.

Moore is being embraced by the Left, and gets a free ride on his lies because the film is subject to a much lesser degree of scrutiny than would either campaign. It doesn't hurt that most journalists are extremist liberals, as well.
