As a percentage of population in the US, I bet it is out of order. When I was in the military, there were far more minorities in the lesser skilled ratings. They didn't test well because of their crappy schools and other societal factors. So, they end up in line of fire. That is a fact.

Look at the troops in ANY marine detachment, you find, in this order, they are hispanic or black then white. Lots of Filipinos when I was in the Navy. That was the only country where other countries citizens could enlist without going through the naturalization process.

There is also a tendency for all troops to be from economically disadvantaged places, so the whites tend to be from poor southern states and Appalachia.
