Clarke says "It didn't get any higher than me"..... The Democrats seem to be making a "thing" out of it....but either Clarke is not telling the truth or he is...He's already proven that he has no love lost for the Bush Adm, so don't understand the Dems point.

Karen, it's not a Dem's point. It's a point Michael Moore makes.

I don't see anything in that to contradict what I think likely happened. Given Clarke's very testy relations with the FBI folk and the fact that the wider scope of his authority shrunk as the days passed from 9-11 to 9-14, my guess is that Clarke might have approved something but the FBI passed it up higher.

I gather you wish to disagree with Moore on this point. Terrific. That's what conversation are all about. I disagree with him on the Afghanistan oil pipeline point.
