Ibexx, only stocks I own are Vivus,INTC and NN.BoughtINTC,in and out, last 12 months.Started at 130 pre split. Bought at 91.5 Friday during the crash( what an opportunity), sold monday at 98. Waited Tues, but yesterday decided to go back in at 100 on the basis of lowest PE highest Growth rate amongst the big blue chips, AND may I say,on my broker's (Merrill Lynch!!! <gg>),Tom Kerlak's reccom endation 2-3 weeks ago that " semiconductors-and INTC "-," still had 20% to go!!! This 0900 AM my broker calls me with "the bad news", Kerlak's downgrade. He said he expects INTC to be down 5-10 points. I was furious. I then reviewed with him a little of our common history with INTC and Merrill Lynch, and told him; 1) April 10 I bought some calls at 130 for pennies. When earnings came ~ the 10th, THAT VERY SAME MORNING Kerlak said on the Merrill Lynch squwak box that he was souring on Intel. So that morning I sold my calls even.Intel then immediately proceed to go to 143 by April 21 and I lost out several thousands in profit!! I was VERY pis....d off. 2)About 1 1/2 months ago he reiterated his strong reccommend on Micron Tech at at 48 and Micron moved to 63; then ~ 10 days later he yanks the reccommendation out and poor Micron gaps down 10 points. 3)Last week even the Wall Street Journal got wind of all these shennanigans and wrote Tom K. up ( gave him a ticket??!! <gg> ) in Heard On the Street section.
So I said to my broker at 0915: " this is a golden buying opportunity"!!gg Let's average down. And I did, I bought at the open, at the market at @92.5 and then as Intel Climbed under my eyes as I was 100% sure by this ime that it would, I bought some more at 94!! ( what do they say, " buy during a breakout?!!! gg ). My broker smiled because he is not that stupid and he disagreed with Kerlak. We finally put a bet as to where INTC would close today at: I said 96.5. He was bolder!!1He said 97. Go INTEL!!! TA ( PS check out the VIVUS thread;; I am a doctor. ). |
