I like the way Steve says that Nixon ended Vietnam. The American public wanted to end it (some thought it was morally wrong, others thought it was futile), but Nixon escalated it secretly and illegally. Finally, he was grudgingly forced to end it as his administration collapsed under the weight of its own corruption. Tom
