For some reason, I believe you are sincere. I believe your humanitarian instincts are in good order. I wouild like to think I am also sensitive to the sufferings of others. I believe Iraqi's are basically good people - not too different than people anywhere. They would thrive under democracy.

But, let's face it. For many people who favored war in Iraq were not thinking of the Iraqi people - much less liberating them.

How many people that favor our involvement in Iraq really care all that much about the Iraqi people?
