Agree to some point with Dell. Their problem was not the offshoring but lack of QC on who they hired.

I had a major problem with Dell and it was more from a lack of ownership of the issue, not the technical skills. The wireless expert who finally helped me solve my problem (very old DSL modem with CAP technology) was located in India! He had exceptional skills and gave me his email address to skip the multitude of handoffs and wrong call transfers if we got disconnected yet again or if I needed further help.

Their problem was more they just handed off problems and usually fumbled. This is a process failure which should be blamed on the US staff, not the Indian staff.
