No Semi-autos were ever "banned". "Illegal" assault weapons are legally for sale on www.gunbroker.com, www.gunsamerica.com and www.auctionarms.com. You can legally buy machine guns, assault weapons and destructive devices. They are not cheap. That is the only difference between a preban and postban weapon. Thats why nobody cares about renewing this law.
