One thing I've always wondered about ... I've read that 1 in 7 wounded die on average.

Every day we hear "1 soldier killed and 10 wounded." But you never hear "three soldiers who had earlier been wounded died today."

So are they just throwing the wounded into the not-killed-in-combat-but-wounded category and then leaving them there when they die a few days later?

Maybe that's what Rather is talking about.
