The Yankees won in 13 innings.

It had to be one of the best games I ever saw.

Great defensive plays on both sides.

At one point Boston was using 7 infielders and
successfully stopped the Yankees from scoring with bases
loaded and no outs. (Something like that.)

In the 11th(?) Jeter made a game saving catch and his
momentum took him a few rows deep into the stands and
landed on his face.

Oddly enough it wasn't the superstars who won this game in
the end. It was two utility bench players who stepped up
and made two clutch hits with 2 outs.

I don't know if ESPN's highlight reel will do this game
justice but it might be a good one to watch just to see
the incredible plays and tension.

One overlooked highlight will be the young kid who the
Yankees brought up from the farms to pitch. (Atually his
third start now.) He had such poise. Seemed very relaxed
and in control. He's gonna be a star someday. His name
is Halsey. Looks like a very young Whitey Ford complete
with the baggy pants and blond hair.

I love this game!

I don't know how I'm going to get to sleep now with all
this adreneline pumping...

Good night, Hosure.

Altair will provide the rest of the highlights.
Perhaps he'll explain why Nomar wasn't playing tonight.
He didn't even seem interested. I get the feeling he's
gonna be traded real soon.
