interesting ... news.yahoo.com unfortunately, the illiterate part doesn't just apply to poor blacks. TV has filled this nation with folks who can't think critically or string together sentences into a whole. This morning I was listening to NPR. They read the declaration of independence. Jefferson's writing clearly shows the deep reflection that the man had and how he was able to bring these ideas together in a logical fashion to make his case. Couldn't help thinking about when it might be time again. How far do the abuses of government have to go before folks are willing to step up and say enough is enough. If I had to guess, I'd say in couple more generations we'll either have some kind of a revolution or some sort of feudal system here, below the vestiges of what's left of the republic.
