"(BTW)William F. Buckley has recent come out and said that if he knew what we know now, he would not favor going to war."

Many conservatives believe this but most wont admit it. I am happy saddam is gone, but it seems he was very much the paper tiger in reality. He fooled us with his bravado and in taking him seriously, he forced us to take him out. But if we knew he was full of it, we probably could have used our armed forces more effectively given the aftermath of the war. Having said all of this, if all goes better from here on, even if it is considered a mistake, the good results will all that will be remembered or the bad results. Jury still out. My hope lies with the arab people finally getting a handle on their future and that process may have started in iraq.(or not) mike@hedge.com
