Hmmm. I agree with everything you've said excep that last statement. Short term it may NOT be good for some employees. But long term it can be very good for U.S. employees as a whole, in that more profitable U.S. companies will create more and higher paying jobs. That's exactly what happened as we moved from an agrarian to industrial to information/services based economy, and it lifted the standard of living in the U.S.

What we have to realize is that U.S. growth now depends on lifting the boats of the rest of the world. We have to create consumer classes throughout the world to keep increasing demand for our own products. If we take the zero sum game mentality, then eventually our own growth will stagnate.
