I'm am just amazed and in awe of the ability of the American public to just believe whatever they are handed on the front page of a newspaper.

I worked at a California power plant when the David Koresh Waco story broke. The papers painted him as a depraved and sick child molester. Every single person I worked with thought the government should go in there with tanks and take out this sick demented lunatic. I saw the government as loony.
This is just one small example.

I can't figure out why people allow themselves to be manipulated so easily by the media.

Finally we end up with something like CNBC. It's probably a good thing no one at the power plant ever watched that or they would all be in bankruptcy by now.
