Yes cosmic,
We are just pebbles thrown about in this great cosmic pond <g> but our ripples spread through the universe. But we have to make those ripples count.. I would like to think so.
For example, this afternoon I was called to become precint captain for the Dems in our mostly repub precint. Since we are a swing state and everything is so important, like maybe the survival of our democracy they are calling out the big guns, The A-team, sort of speak, not really <g>. I demurred for now, because we have so many irons in the fire.. But now I have decided to take it.. Unless a vibrant woman, I met at the caucus takes it that I recommended.. I will let you know...
But moving on, I think often of why us progressives, (I like that term the best) ALWAYS have to work and BEAT back stuff from the other side that only think and fight for their OWN selfishness, themselves ONLY.. But WE fight them, for NO PERSONAL, BUT FOR ALL and the WHOLE planet.. I don't know.. Have we evolved further, I don't know.. Dow WE know more in the long run?
We should be repugs by their defination, standards, personal gain, etc., lower taxes and all that jazz, personal selfishness.... It sure as Hell would help us materially, but we just can't be.. WE can NOT work JUST for OURSELVES..
So WE work against ourselves materially,
But FOR ourselves morally, in the long run, that is waht COUNTS..
