Shorting oil and gas stocks seems like a high risk / low reward play considering terrorism, the issues within numerous exporting nations and the fact that there is very little if any export capacity in reserve.

Oil prices reflect many factors, days of inventory forward cover being one, another being the willingness of players to obtain that last barrel of sweet crude available.

While gasoline and distillates S/D issues are front and center the next 3-6 weeks will reveal that getting to 3,000 bcf on 11/1 wont be done without some struggle. When this begins to register the alarm bells on heating oil will ring even louder.
