re: Clinton, Carville & Begala repeated "Its the Economy, Stupid" until the American public actually believed it WAS the economy -- when, in fact, the economy was fine.

Are you nuts or suffering from memory loss? "It's the economy stupid" was an internal reminder to the Clinton staff that that was the number one issue, and it was at the time 'cause there wasn't a idiotic war going on. "It's the economy stupid" was never a slogan... you think they were calling the voters stupid?

re: They repeatedly used such Clinton-speak as "Investment" for "Wasteful Spending" until people actually thought blowing money was "investment".

Bush is the King of "investment"... he's invested us into a record deficit. Your kids are going to be paying huge taxes for most of their lives as a result of Bush's "investments".

The Democrats try to sell complex programs, the Republicans are smarter marketers; they sell consistent sound bites repeated over and over, every chance they get. But as we get into the conventions, and the debates, people will start to look deeper. And Kerry will have the advantage.
