I am also optimistic. My brother, who I'm presently visiting, is a software engineer and Mac developer (not with Apple) told me the following: - in 3 weeks he is to receive a beta version of Rapsody - A new version of CodeWarrior is coming out which translates Mac code to Unix code so it can run on Rapsody. This means that essentially the whole Mac platform could conform to Rapsody. - he said that comparing NT vs. Rapsody, that both intel and Mot are working on new multiprocessor chips. The NT has a max capacity of 6-8 MP while Rapsody has about 20. -Under Spindler, Apple had only 4 software engineers devoted to the OS. Amelio put 100 on it. Now there are 150 devoted to OS.
