I forgot to mention that the image of the "Jew puppet-master" has been an extremely common theme in anti-semitic imagery worldwide for centuries.

Even if, assuming for the sake of the argument, that Nader was not using this image deliberately (which I don't believe for a second), there is no way he could not have known that it had this meaning.

He's toast. He's as dead, politically, as Pat Buchanan is, as David Duke is, as George McGovern was. Maybe if he was black he could get away with it, as anti-Semitism is, unfortunately, acceptable to a lot of blacks. He'll still get the Chomskyite vote, they're anti-Semitic, too.
