I guess that massacre back in the late 80's/early 90's was just a dream, as were the thousands of buildings whose keys were handed to lenders.

We're in a climate like that in silicon valley... whoever built these things is going to take a permanent bath. I'll bet the reality doesn't read that way in about, oh... 8 years or so though.
