-OFF TOPIC, Marimba-

I did talk with my H&Q broker re. Marimba, He said no announcement yet, but suspects that H&Q and Morgan Stanley would probably be involved in the underwriting. (This pair was also involved in IPOs of NSCP, UUNT, RMBS and ATHM, among others.)

Regarding timing of Marimba IPO, the announcement could come with a very short notice. (A few days, for example). The company and underwriters would have the paperwork and venture capital in place beforehand and wait for the "optimal" moment for the offering (in terms of market sentiment).
