No, every voter in the country assumes that if a politician is a Mass Democrat he's automatically a big spender. No need to reiterate the fact. Of course, you want to highlight the fact that Bush Adm has also found it necessary to spend for past 4 yrs. That's another assumption for the average American voter-- we know a War on Terror cannot be executed on the cheap but we realize it's a cost effective investment. Similar to Pres Reagan's military buildup in order to cause the collapse of USSR.
