Mindmeld,

Two things:

1) projections 50 years out are inherently unreliable
2) what retiring baby boomers? The baby boom started in 1946, so the oldest are now 58. The peak year was 1956, so most are still in their 40s. How could "retiring boomers" explain slower labor force growth now?
