Even though SNDK share price did not reflect higher earnings, the shares themselves gained book value. When you look at stocks in fast growing companies, an important measure is the change in book value per share because eventually, it will be reflected in change in market value.

SanDisk not only has a low price-earnings ratio but a low ratio of stock price to book value. This is especially true when you compare these measures with similar type stocks. Eventually the investment community will catch on, which is why I'd rather hold the shares than trade on their unpredictable ups and downs. If the anomaly continues, eventually someone will come along and buy the company.
