Fascinating interview with pollster

.......... The electorate is so polarized over this election that virtually everyone has made up his mind between Bush and Kerry. People may say they are undecided, but they are not. For example, "I hate Bush, but I haven't made up my mind yet" is a Kerry vote.

There is only one group (according to this young pollster on PBS this afternoon) that is really undecided (and it is comprised of up to 1 million people): young women without college degrees. Most of them work and have a kid. They don't care about education issues or health care issues. Their primary concern is that they don't have enough free time. They are apolitical and generally don't vote. They only come out for presidential elections because they are "interesting."

This guy says we're going to spend over a billion dollars seeking these one million voters in the next 4 months. He says Bush and Kerry would be better off buying them a steak dinner than attracting them with negative ads.
