No one is more patriotic than a Silver Star winner like John Kerry, Max Cleland or John McCain. GW Bush (who went AWOl from the champagne guard unit for rich kids and ran and hid when it was his turn to serve) would give his right arm for Kerry's superlative military record. Cheney also dodged the draft with five dishonest deferments in a row, claiming he had "better things to do". Tom DElay asaid there were plenty of minority guys available to fight so why should he? Rush Limbaugh got off because of a boil on his fat butt. The list goes on and on. Not a single current rightwing leader has ever served in combat and most of them actively avoided it.
